Piano Studio

Dedicated Music Learning

I have opened my piano studio in Flower Mound/Lewisville/Highland Village area, TX. I have been teaching a wide range of piano students from young to graduate piano major students and adults for the past 25 years. My experiences include various settings as private lessons, master classes, group piano, as well as classroom at the university. I am a sought after adjudicator serving as a judge for the Vernell Gregg Young Artist Competition (previously Lewisville Young Artist Competition), Dallas Symphonic Festival, Fort Worth Music Teachers Association Competition, MTNA Oregon state competition, MTNA Texas state competition, and Collin County Music Competition (TX).

My dedicated efforts to develop in each student their artistic and pianistic potentials have been rewarded in feedbacks such as “Very intellectually stimulating,” “a very enthusiastic professor,” “I learned so much from her, not only just piano skills but many other aspects of music,” etc.

I am strongly committed to my teaching effectiveness, coaching students in a way that not only engages them at their level but pushes them to excel. I offer thorough, down-on-earth, and friendly instructions on music fundamentals including good techniques and music theory, as well as on how to refine their piano playing in expressive and sophisticated way.

I believe that performing opportunities help the students grow better. I prepare my students for recitals, local and national competitions, and music festivals/caps as well as college auditions. My ultimate goal is to foster a love of music in students and to help them to grow into a well-rounded human being who appreciates arts and culture. I teach my students:

  • Solid music fundamentals such as reading notes, recognizing harmonic patterns and sequences, pulse and rhythm as basics

  • How to practice effectively on regular basis

  • Proper technical skills needed for performance

  • To be able to play through the musical composition with a deeper analytical understanding of the design and structure.

  • To sharpen the inner hearing, focus, and a sense of perseverance

Depending on the age and level of the students, 30 min, 45 min, and 60 min lessons are offered. For a consultation/interview, feel free to contact to arrange a 30 minutes complementary lesson.
